When you boyfriend says you two have to go pick up some shoes from the shoemaker's on your way to your date, you might want to sink underground with anger. But when he suddenly buys you a bouquet of your favorite flowers, you not only get back on Earth, but you start feeling somewhere in the area of the sublime... Even when you told him you want a bouquet 4 times that week, you still love the fact that he remembered. And you ARE surprised! :-D
I thought of the silly Valentine's Day when I took this photo even though I got my bouquet on a regular day. 'Cause Valentine's Day is bullshit, sorry. When we love, we love all the time. ;] and still, this photo is for all the people who like taking it mainstream on February 14.
I mentioned the word bouquet but I am not sure whether many people use it in their daily lives.. They just like getting 'flowers'. Bouquets are for weddings. Well, here are some brides that decided to throw something else on their wedding ceremonies rather than a bouquet. If those were true cases, then I don't envy those manicures...
I hope for next Valentine's Day, some of you girls who like tulips like me, will get a surprise flight over Dutch tulips..
I totally agree that it should not be a special day in order to receive flowers from the beloved one. In this case, you are not really surprised. You might go on a dinner or somewhere for the weekend, but little gifts could be given on a regular day and then, believe me, they are valued way more.
